Headquartered in the center of the Vidalia® growing region in southeast Georgia. For over 30 years family-owned Shuman Farms has been in the sweet onion industry and has been recognized often as providing the sweetest of the sweet onions. The legacy began with Buck Shuman in the mid-1980s and a small family farm in Reidsville, GA and today son John and his brothers and family have become a leading grower and shipper of sweet onions year-round.
The Shuman family believe in giving back to the communities where their products are sold. To that end, the family founded programs like Produce for Kids that has raised more than $6 million for children’s charities and helps families eat healthier.
