Smoky Bacon-Biscuit Dressing
Serves: 10

12 canned biscuits
1 lb. sliced smoky bacon , cut into 1 inch pieces
2 yellow onions, diced
5 celery stalks
8 oz. white button mushrooms, sliced
1/4c. chopped fresh parsley
2 Tbl. fresh sage
2 Tbl. chopped fresh thyme
salt and pepper
5 cups chicken broth

Preheat oven to 350º Cook biscuits according to package directions. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++==++++++++++++++++ In deep sauté pan over med. high heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain. Pour off all but 3 Tbl. fat from pan. Add onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft, about 10 minutes. Add celery, mushrooms, parsley, sage, and thyme; cook until celery is soft, 5 minutes. Transfer onion mixture to a large bowl. Add bacon to bowl; season with salt and pepper. Add biscuits and stock; stir to combine. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++==++++++++++++++++ Transfer dressing to baking dish. Cover with foil; bake 30 minutes. Remove foil; bake until dressing is lightly browned, 20 minutes more. .
