Ingredients3/4 c of All Purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tb sugar
1tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c of buttermilk
** you can add cheese, jalapenos or both.
Warm BGE to 450 degrees. Place the cast iron skillet into a 450 degree for about 10 minutes. Remove the skillet Yes it will be rather hot. Pour the batter into the skillet and cook the cornbread for about 20-25 minutes. Let cool for about 10-15 minutes. Invert skillet and serve with butter.
