Shrimp Dogs
Serves: many

16-20 ct peeled shrimp
wooden skewers (1 per shrimp soaked in water)
1 beaten egg
1 cup of whole milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup of flour
2 teaspoons of sugar

Peanut oil for frying (pre heated to 350)

Mix all the ingredients (not the shrimp and skewers) and until well blended batter is achieved. Skewer the shrimp, then place the shrimp into the batter. Pull up and place into the oil. cook until golden brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel. Serve with your favorite sauce .
