Red Eye Gravy
Red Eye Gravy
2 tbs of butter
1 small onion,finely chopped
2 tbs flour(A/P)
3/4 c strong coffee
3/4 c chicken stock
1/4 c heavy whipping cream
S&P to taste

Add the butter and onion to a large sauce pan and cook until the onions are soft. Add flour and stir well,cook about 2 mins. Add coffee and stock whisk well to combine and allow the sauce to cook until thickened. Add the cream and adjust seasoning. Let cook 5 mins after you add the cream. Hope you have a few biscuits left for this gravy.
