Panko Dusted Fried Oysters
Ingredients1 dozen cleaned fresh oysters
3 cups of panko bread crumbs
4 large eggs (beaten with 1 teaspoon of water)
6 cups of vegetable oil
Pick thru your oysters and remove any shell fragments. Beat the eggs and water to make an egg-wash.Pour Panko bread crumbs into another bowl next to the eggs. Season both eggs and bread crumbs with S&P. Heat oil to about 315-325 degrees. Put oysters in egg-wash then into the bread crumbs shake to remove the excess. Slowly lower the breaded oysters into the oil. Cook till they begin to float. Remove with a slotted spoon and place onto paper towels to drain. Season again with S&P. Serve with your favorite sauce.
