Chef and the Fat Man Barbecued Shrimp
2 lb. raw shrimp
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. minced fresh ginger
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. lemon juice
3 tbsp. parsley, finely chopped
2 tbsp. finely chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp. pepper
Melted butter

Shell and devein shrimp, leaving tails on. Arrange shrimp in shallow 1 1/2-quart dish. In a small bowl mix garlic with salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. And put in blender/blend well (this is an optional step) Pour marinade over shrimp. Let marinade for 30 minutes. Thread shrimp on skewers and grill 3 minutes, basting with marinade. Turn and grill several minutes more or until shrimp turn pink, basting several times.
